Democracy or family rule or in turn dictatorship in INDIA?

India is the largest democracy in this world with lots of geographical and religious diversities. It has around 18 major languages and 1600 local dialects. With so much diversity, our ancient great leaders wanted us to be great democratic country and tried to put an example of brotherhood in front of whole world. But looking at today's condition, have we really achieved that?

I will say we are no more democratic country even. Democracy does not mean that every five year we just go for casting our votes and reelect those who were already their in the power for a long time and sitting idle with out doing anything. I am not specifically pointing towards congress for current lok sabha election. I am talking in general what has been happening in our country from the time of independence.

Starting with Pundit Nehru our first prime minister of India after him his family has become the single largest party in India and ruling India like family business. If one person dies his or her successor weather it is her/his son or daughter or any distant relative becomes next minister. Had we ever thought that sons and daughter of these great personalities were equally capable as their ancestor. What i feel is not. I think people of India cast their vote in sentiments rather than rationally. And these minister take advantage of that. Whenever election comes they play down politics and fool around people emotionally. take an example of Agatha Sangama, youngest minster in current cabinet. She is the daughter of former speaker P K Sangama. When she came to  take oath she was looking all around nervously. She must be thanking GOD to make her daughter of a prominent person. It is not her leadership and social work so that people recognize her and cast their vote for her it is only because of her dad.
Same is the case with dayanidhi maran nephew of southern satrap Karunanidhi. Their are ten's of cases in Indian politics you will find where either in center or in state dynastic politics is going on. Next is the case of akhilash yadav, great son of mulayam singh yadav former CM of much talked state UP. Everybody knows that in his election manifesto SP was against English medium education western cultures. But this great son of mulayam sing yadav is himself an alumni of oxford. He also joined, like others, politics like a family business and the irony is that our India public allows them to sit on our head. This is nothing but a dictatorship not on the whole country but at least in their own region.

Thanks,
Abhish
